YUMA-8 is a high-yield industrial fiber hemp strain bred for optimal fiber production. It is known for its tall growth, strong stalks, and high bast fiber content, making it particularly suitable for textiles, rope, and biocomposites. YUMA-8 is also bred for adaptability, performing well in various climates while maintaining uniform fiber quality. Its balanced ratio of bast to hurd makes it a versatile choice for both traditional fiber applications and innovative hemp-based materials.

This variety is suited for latitudes 10-34 degrees. The origin is China This strain is dioecious and will work for both fiber or grain depending upon the time it is planted.

Latitude
Latitude is very important. Make sure your location fits within the latitude specified or you may get plants that flower one month after sprouting.
Seeding rates for Fiber
75-110 pounds per acre. Recommended planting between mid March through May. 13-18' feet tall males and females. Harvest at the end of August through early September. Flowering begins usually in September.
Seeding Rates for Grain
25-35 pounds per acre. Plant between May though early June. Flowering begins in September and seeds are ready to harvest in September through October.

Storage >1 year: Freeze
Industrial hemp is defined as cannabis having 0.3% or less THC in the leaves and flowers. Please note these seeds are not certified and should be harvested for fiber prior to flowering to avoid levels of THC above 0.3%. If growing for grain/seeds, THC levels begin to drop once the flowers are fertilized and seed production commences.
