100% Green Decorticated Hemp Hurds
Hemp hurds are the naturally woody inner core of the hemp stalk, offering a sustainable, high-performance raw material for a wide range of industrial applications. Our hurds are produced through advanced green decortication, allowing for immediate separation in the field—resulting in a cleaner, more consistent product with minimal degradation.
Grown without the use of pesticides or herbicides, these lightweight chips are exceptionally absorbent and environmentally responsible. Their natural structure and porosity make them ideal for applications requiring bulk absorbency, thermal properties, or carbon-rich biomass.
One of the most significant advantages of our green decorticated hurds is cost efficiency. By eliminating traditional processing steps, we are able to offer pricing at less than half the cost of conventional hurd suppliers—opening the door to new commercial applications and improved margins.
Our hurds range in length from approximately 0.5 to 1.5 inches and are delivered as raw, farm-processed material with minimal dust. This makes them particularly well-suited for applications where precise particle sizing is not required, including biochar production, supercapacitor materials, and engineered wood products.
For applications requiring finer particle sizes—such as hempcrete, animal bedding, or specialty composites—these hurds serve as an ideal feedstock for further processing via hammer milling and screening.
